Ezra Pound, who gave Vorticism its name and contributed to BLAST.
Vorticism was a short-lived but radical movement that emerged in London immediately before the First World War. It is considered to be the only significant British movement of the early twentieth century but lasted less than three years. The Vorticists had only one exhibition, in 1915 at the Doré Gallery. BLAST was the shortlived journal of the Vorticism movement. It had two editions, the first published on 2 July 1914, and the second a year later. |
